Iris Dynamics Ltd., founded in 2012, is a privately-owned Canadian advanced technology company with headquarters in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. We have patented a new class of variable force-feedback motion control systems that improve the human-machine interface
We are a secure and trusted company that holds appropriate security clearances, we are registered with the Canadian Controlled Goods Program, and we are an active member of the Canadian Association of Defense and Security Industries (CADSI).
Our breakthrough technology is well suited for for the aerospace, defense, heavy equipment, automotive, robotic, pharmaceutical and semiconductor automation markets and anywhere where precision motion, force, and torque control is required.
Iris Dynamics started a successful Kickstarter campaign in 2013 to develop a new kind of control-loading flight yoke for flight simulation. Since then, the technology has scaled and evolved into a variety of other motion control applications. In 2016, the company partnered with Aircraft Spruce & Specialty as, providing product sales and support in most major markets world-wide.
Our innovative motion control products have been used by many aerospace organizations, including NASA, the FAA , Airbus Perlan, and Lockheed-Martin for demonstration, training and R&D. We are also sponsoring advanced theoretical and applied electromagnetic research at two major Canadian universities. Applications for our technology include aircraft controls, flight simulation, remotely piloted vehicles, heavy equipment, submersibles, automotive, industrial automation, robotics, and semiconductor manufacturing.
Iris Dynamics participates in the Canadian Department of National Defence (DND) industrial technology benefit (ITB) offset program. Benefits for foreign defense contractors working with Iris Dynamics include additional credit for both sponsored R&D and our University Research programs. Please contact us for more information.
